Attempt by 2 women to smuggle gold foiled

UTV | COLOMBO – Sri Lanka Customs Unit at the Bandaranaike International Airport has apprehended 2 Sri Lankan women who had attempted to smuggle in 1.1kg of gold from Singapore.

The estimated value of the detected gold was Rs. 10 million.

The arrested women were residents of Jaffna.
