(UTV|COLOMBO) – Minister Malik Samarawickrama has decided to resign from the Chairmanship portfolio of the United National Party (UNP), and the resignation letter was handed over to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Minister said the tenure of his Chairmanship ends on 30 April adding that an opportunity should be provided to appoint a new Chairman before the next election.
