GMOA strike in protest of medical students’ arrest

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Government Medical Officer’s Association (GMOA) is currently on strike, protesting the arrest of 21 medical students yesterday.

The strike began at 8 a.m. and will end at 12 noon.

GMOA Media Spokesperson, Dr. Naveen De Zoysa has stated to the media that their decision to strike was unchanged, although the 21 students were released on bail yesterday (2) by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.
