President tours Jaffna

UTV | COLOMBO – President Maithripala Sirisena says that political and social problems in the country have been identified.

He was speaking this morning (Mar. 19) at the opening ceremony of a Laboratory at St. Thomas College in Jaffna.

Opposition Leader, R. Sampandan was also present.

Meanwhile, relatives of LTTE detainees staged a protest in Jaffna town this morning.

Our correspondent stated that several protesters were given the opportunity to meet with the President to discuss their grievances.
