Sri Lanka’s UPR Report to be adopted today; Ministerial delegation off to Geneva

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Report under the third cycle of the UPR, will be adopted at the 37th Session of the Council today (19).

Sri Lanka will be represented at this session by Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva Ravinatha Aryasinha.

Meanwhile, a Ministerial-level delegation will leave for Geneva today to attend the on-going 37th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana while Minister Sarath Amunugama will also be part of the Sri Lankan delegation to the UNHRC.
