Vigneshwaran seeks international intervention

UTV | COLOMBO – The Northern Province Chief Minister, C. V. Vigneshwaran has said once again, that an International intervention is necessary with regard to the alleged incidents that took place during the conflict.

Addressing a media conference held in Jaffna yesterday (Mar. 15), he said that it is the duty of the government to identify the perpetrators and bring them to book.

Meanwhile, Bengamuwe Nalaka Thera said that legal action will be taken against the UN Human Rights Commissioner for passing the resolution 30/01 against Sri Lanka unilaterally.

The Thera said the resolution has been ratified without hearing evidence.
