Muthurajawela Ready To Accept Colombo Garbage

UTV | COLOMBO – Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka says if segregated garbage could be provided that the Colombo Municipal Council will be allowed to dispose garbage at the Muthurajawela Yard.

The Minister said this responding to questions raised by the journalists at a media conference in Colombo yesterday (Mar. 15).

The residents of Maligakanda, Dematagoda and Borella complain that CMC workers have not collected garbage in those areas for more than one week now.

Piled up garbage could be seen on the roadsides, making life difficult for the area residents.

However, the CMC said they will collect only the segregated garbage and the residents have been informed of it.
