Police fire in the air to disperse a group of mob in Menikhinna

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Police had to fire in the air to disperse an unruly mob in Menikhinna on Tuesday evening (06).

According to several reports, a group of mob gathered on the streets in Menikhinna in the Kandy area despite a curfew being in force.

The Police had later fired in the air to disperse the violent mob.

Seven people arrested for unruly behaviour during Police curfew in Menikhinna. Three injured Police personnel admitted to hospital, it is reported.
