Cabinet reshuffle: New Ministers sworn-in

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was appointed as the new Cabinet Minister of Law and Order during the Cabinet reshuffle commenced at the Presidential Secretariat today (25), President’s Media Division said.
A total of 10 Ministerial portfolios have changed including 6 Cabinet portfolios, 3 State Minister portfolios, and 1 Deputy Minister portfolio.

Following is the list of new Ministerial portfolios:

  • Prime Minister Ranil Wickemasinghe is the new Cabinet Minister of Law and Order
  • Laxman Kiriella is the new Cabinet Minister of State Enterprise and Kandy Development
  • Kabir Hashim is the new Cabinet Minister of Higher Education and Highways
  • Piyasena Gamage is the new State Minister Youth Affairs and Southern Development
  • Ravindra Samaraweera is the new Cabinet Minister of Wildlife & Sustainable Development
  • Harin Fernando is the new Cabinet Minister of Digital Infrastructure & Foreign Employment
  • Sagala Ratnayake the new Cabinet Minister of Youth Affairs and Southern Development
  • Ajith P. Perera is the new State Minister of Prisons and Rehabilitation
  • J. C. Alawathuwala is the new Deputy Minister of Home Affairs
  • Dr. Harsha de Silva is the new State Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs
