Two arrested for attempting to smuggle Gold to India

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Two brothers who attempted to smuggle four pieces of Gold to India illegally by hiding them under their tongues were arrested this morning (31st Tuesday) by the Customs officials at the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA).

Deputy Customs Director Parakrama Basnayake has stated to media that the total value of the gold was more than Rs. 1 million.
