Swiss Ambassador Shares Views with Commander

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Ambassador of Switzerland for Sri Lanka and the Maldives, HE Mr Heinz Walker-Nederkoorn paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Monday (19) at the Army Headquarters.

The ambassador during his interactive meeting with the Commander of the Army shared views on the roles and tasks of the Army in the post-conflict era and measures that have been adopted for reconciliation and ethnic harmony in the North and East.

On arrival at the Commander’s Secretariat, the ambassador was welcomed by Colonel K.A.A Udaya Kumara, Military Assistant before he was ushered to the Commander’s office.

A senior official at the Swiss Embassy was also associated with the meeting.
