No damage to heritage sites- PM Wickremesinghe

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today (28th Saturday) assured that the government will carry out development projects in the Anuradhapura district without damaging national heritage sites.

The Prime Minister is currently in Anuradhapura on an observational tour. Premier Wickremesinghe also attended several religious events in the district.

Speaking to the Chief Incumbent of the Thanthirimale Raja Maha Viharaya, the Prime Minister has assured that all development projects in Anuradhapura District would be conducted without any damage to national heritage sites in the area.

The Prime Minister has said the government has allocated around 500 acres for those who will be relocated due to the development projects in the area.
