Indo – Sri Lanka Seventh Staff Talks held in Colombo

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The 7th staff Talks between Indian and Sri Lankan Navies which took place at the Colombo Light House Galley premises, successfully concluded yesterday (07).

The discussion was attended by the Sri Lanka Navy delegation headed by the Director General Operations Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva and the Indian Navy delegation headed by Rear Admiral Diren Wig.

During the discussion, the participants from India and Sri Lanka extensively discussed on reinforcing the range of defence matters of bilateral importance. Further the representatives of the both delegations were interested in exchanging views on mutual cooperation in the maritime affairs expanded in the Indian Ocean.
