Minister Bathiudeen pledges to continue with development in Kandy District

(UTV|KANDY) – Minister Rishad Bathiudeen on Sunday (04) pledged to continue with the development activities in the Kandy District with the hope of providing better living standards for the people.

At present, 10,000 houses have been built for internally displaced people in the Kandy District, Minister Bathiudeen said, “We have already spent millions of Rupees to develop the Kandy District.”

He made these remarks in Akurana – Kandy yesterday, addressing a public meeting organised to confirm the victories of candidates who are contesting under ACMC for the forthcoming Local Government (LG) Elections.

Minister Bathiudeen was greeted by a large crowd and received a strong support from locals in the area.
