Sri Lanka strongly condemns terrorist attack in Kabul

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kabul in which over 100 people were killed.

The Foreign Ministry said that innocent civilians and those under medical treatment had been the target of the terrorist attack.

“Sri Lanka strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Kabul targeting innocent civilians and those under medical treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this terrible violence unleashed on the innocent,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mahishini Colonne said.

A suicide bombing has killed at least 103 people and injured 235 others in the centre of Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, officials say.
