Navy nabs 3 persons engaged in illegal fishing

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Three persons including 2 foreigners and a Sri Lankan who were engaging in fishing activities without valid Fishing Passes in the sea area of Komari, were apprehended by Naval personnel attached to the South Eastern Naval Command.

A dinghy used by them was also taken into Naval custody and both the persons and the dinghy were handed over to Fisheries Inspectorate at Ulla for onward legal action.
