Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrives in Sri Lanka

(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: Indonesian President Joko Widodo arrived in Sri Lanka, a short while ago, on an official 2-day State visit on an invitation extended by President Maithripala Sirisena.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo will arrive in the country today (24) on an official two-day State visit on the invitation of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Indonesian President will be accorded a ceremonial welcome with guard of honour and twenty-one gun salute at the Presidential Secretariat this evening which will be followed by official bilateral discussions with President Sirisena on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.

Several Memoranda of Understanding are to be inked between the two countries during the visit.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will also hold discussions on economic, trade and investment cooperation with President Widodo at a breakfast meeting.
