Jaliya Wickramasuriya in court

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States Jaliya Wickramasuriya arrested and remanded on charges of misusing state funds will be produced before court once again today (27th Friday).

The case will be heard by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.

The Former Ambassador was arrested by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division on the 18th of November 2016 on charges of misusing state resources amounting to 332,000 USD during the tenure of the United People’s Freedom Alliance led government.
