Person held for possessing counterfeit money

(UTV|COLOMBO) – On receipt of information to the Navy, a group of naval personnel attached to the Western Naval Command in coordination with officials of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Colombo nabbed a suspect for possessing counterfeit money, during a raid conducted in Horana.

Among the counterfeit money were 3 notes of five thousand rupees and 124 notes of hundred US dollars. A laser printer used for the printing of this fake money was also seized. The suspect involved in this illegal act together with counterfeit notes and other peripherals was handed over to the CID in Colombo for onward legal action.
