(UTV|COLOMBO) – Mr. Miyuru Bhashitha has been appointed as SLFP Chief Organizer for the Nivithigala electorate. He received his appointment letter from President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, yesterday (16).
Mr. Miyuru Bhashitha also serves as President Sirisena’s Coordinating Secretary (Parliamentary Affairs).
Meanwhile, former UNP Chief Organizer for the Yapahuwa electorate, Dr. Keerthi Fonseka joined the SLFP extending his support for the efforts taken by the President for the betterment of the country. He is a reputed medical practitioner in Yapahuwa.
Also, members of the Trade Unions opposed to Podujana Peramuna met with the President, yesterday (16) and extended support to him.
Active members of the Trade Union, including its Chairman and Secretary and several others were in this group.
