(UTV|COLOMBO) – The United National Party (UNP) states that it backs implementing the recommendations in the Report by the Presidential Commission investigating the controversial Treasury Bond issuance.
Speaking to the BBC World Service, UNP Parliamentarian, Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera said the report clears allegations raised against Prime Minister and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe in the scam.
He said the UNP also backs the recommendation that legal action be taken against former Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake and Head of Perpetual Treasuries Limited Arjun Aloysius.
