Sri Lanka Navy arrests 12 Indian fishermen for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy has arrested 12 Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu for allegedly breaching the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) and poaching in Sri Lankan waters, Asian News International reported.

Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command arrested the Indian fishermen along with two trawlers for poaching in Sri Lankan waters near Delft Island on Thursday (04).

The fishermen are natives of Rameswaram district of Tamil Nadu.
