Deputy Principal arrested over taking bribes

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A female deputy-principal who was taken Rs. 5000/= as a bribe for the admission of a student into 6th-grade was arrested by the Commission to Investigate Bribery and Corruption last evening (23rd Monday).

The deputy-principal who was arrested was from a school in Akurana area in Kandy.

The arrest was made after the parents of the student reported the incident to the Commission to investigate Bribery and Corruption, reportedly.
