Postal trade unions demand answers in 14 days

UTV | COLOMBO – Postal trade unions say an indefinite strike will be launched if solutions are not provided to their demands in 14 days.

Speaking to a prominent news portal in the island, the Co-Convenor of the Joint Postal Trade Unions Front Chinthaka Bandara said the government is not sensitive towards the concerns of postal workers.

Bandara said the Union does not approve of the present recruitment process adding it challenges the operations in the Postal Department.

Chinthaka Bandara added they hope the government will provide appropriate solutions within the next two weeks claiming failing which an indefinite strike will be launched.
