Police completed 110 corruption investigations

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Law and Order and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayake says the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) have completed investigations into 110 cases and sent the files for perusal by the Attorney General.

Issuing a statement to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day, Minister Ratnayake also said that as he has already stated in Parliament, the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division has so far received 370 cases of which 73 have been forwarded to other bodies for investigations.
