China and Sri Lanka hold talks on Naval academic cooperation

(UTV|COLOMBO) – A 56 member Chinese National Defence University delegation headed by Major General Shi Zhongwu arrived in Sri Lanka on a study tour on Tuesday (21).

As part of this official tour, Major General Shi Zhongwu met with the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral SirimevanRanasinghe at the Navy Headquarters in Colombo last evening.

The Defence Attaché of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel XuJianwei and 4 Officials from the visiting Chinese National Defence University delegation also attended this event.

During the cordial discussion held, they focused attention on academic affairs and matters of bilateral importance. The cordial discussion culminated with an exchange of mementos.
