Australian Foreign Affairs Minister to visit Sri Lanka today

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia Julie Bishop will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from 19 – 20 July.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop will meet Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake on Wednesday evening (19) for bilateral talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two Ministers would also witness the official exchange of letter of intent and announcement of a dengue eradication program between the two countries. Minister Bishop would be hosted for an official dinner by Minister Karunanayake.

On Thursday, Foreign Minister Bishop would participate at a Breakfast meeting with Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Singapore Foreign Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.

Minister Bishop would also call on President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during her visit.
