(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Information has been received regarding a masked armed gang operating in Negombo.
The police had arrested two youth after the special wing acted on a tip-off from the public on Saturday, police sources reports.
The gang, wearing masks and travelling on motor cycles, has been stealing belongings of women, travelling in tuk-tuk’s or Motor Bikes in the area.
Premised on information revealed with the arrest of two gang members, Police are conducting further investigations in this regard to arrest the others involved.
