Indian Air Force conducts 5-day exercise with Lankan Air Force

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Indian Air Force (IAF) has carried out a five-day exercise with its Sri Lankan counterpart to enhance coordination and cooperation, the IAF said.

The exercise began on July 9 and went on till Thursday, the Press Trust of India reported.

A transport aircraft of the IAF had ferried a 65-member air force contingent to Sri Lanka for the joint training and exercise, an IAF spokesperson said.

He said the exercise offered an opportunity to both the air forces to observe each others’ standard operating procedures as well as exchange ideas on joint operations.

It was a very satisfying joint exercise, he said.
