(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva stated that the measures will be taken to impose fines on individuals who dispose garbage on railway tracks and railway stations.
He made these remarks at the opening ceremony of the ‘Dengue Wanasamu, Ratama Sanasemu’ initiative organised by the National Dengue Eradication programme and the Department of Railways, at the Dematagoda Railway Station on Sunday (16).
A special circular including all programmes which should be implemented to eradicate Dengue has also been issued to all Station Masters.
