Health Minister assures all facilities for heart surgeries

(UDHAYAM, KANDY) – Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senarathne assured to provide all facilities needed to continue the heart surgeries in the country.

He said the Government had allocated Rs. 235 billion this year for the development of health services in the country.

Minister Senarathne made these remarks during a visit to the Kandy General Hospital on Thursday (13). He visited the hospital to felicitate the doctors, who contributed to Sri Lanka’s first heart surgery conducted at Kandy Hospital.

The Minister also opened the new Renal Dialysis Unit and the Operation Theatre, built at the hospital. Sri Lanka Navy donated the necessary equipment for the Renal Dialysis Unit.
