WHO submits report on eradication of Dengue in Sri Lanka

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The World Health Organisation (WHO) has submitted a report to the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine on measures which need to be taken to control the spread of Dengue in Sri Lanka.

A delegation from the WHO currently in Sri Lanka inspected some of the areas affected by the spread of Dengue. The WHO delegation included members from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne is to brief the Cabinet today (11) on the findings and recommendations of the WHO team.
