(UDHAYAM, KURUNEGALA) – Police have arrested 10 individuals for illegal sand mining in Deduru Oya.
Police noted that the individuals had transported the sand from Wellawa on Thursday (06).
Two tippers and equipment used for sand mining has been seized by the Police.
Suspects are residents of Wellawa and are to be produced before the Kurunegala Magistrate’s Court on Friday (07).
