(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Due to active South-West monsoonal conditions, showery weather is expected to continue till Tuesday (27) in the South-Western parts of the country with heavy rain expected in the Kegalle and Kalutara Districts, the Early Warning Centre of the Department of Meteorology said on Saturday (24).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western Provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts.
Heavy showers (About 100 mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Kurunegala, Kegalle, Rathnapura, Kaluthara, Gampaha, Colombo and Galle Districts.
There may be temporary localised strong winds during thundershowers.
