(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Police Media Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Priyantha Jayakody in a Facebook post stated that he had decided to resign from his post due to his prevailing medical condition.
He stressed that the Superintendent of Police (SP) Ruwan Gunasekara would appoint as the new Media Spokesperson for the Police Department.
“I take this opportunity to convey my sincere gratitude towards all media colleges and all my FB friends for the untainted support and courage tendered towards me to fulfil my assignment during this period,” DIG Jayakody added.
