Police investigation on property damage at Health Ministry

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Police have commenced a broad investigation on the incident, where a group of university students forcibly entered the Health Ministry premises and damaged the property and vehicles on Wednesday (21).

The students entered the Ministry premises during a protest against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Colombo.

The investigation is conducted under the direct supervision of the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Colombo.

Meanwhile, steps have been taken to obtain a valuation report on the property damages and the Police will take action against the offenders after scrutinizing the CCTV footages and other evidences.
