[PICTURES] – Mi-17 Helicopter crashes in Baddegama: No casualties

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A Mi-17 Helicopter of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) which was carrying out rescue and search operations had crashed in Baddegama in Galle on Monday morning (29).

SLAF Spokesperson Group Captain Gihan Senaviratne said no casualties were reported in the accident. He said all crew members on board the helicopter were safe.

SLAF deployed 7 MI-17 s, 3 Bell-121 s and a Bell-412 Helicopter for rescue operations since Friday (26).
