(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) on Thursday (25) issued a special weather advisory for heavy rain falls for the next 48-hours.
It said South-West monsoon conditions are establishing over the country and showers or thundershowers would occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-Western Provinces.
“Heavy falls of more than 150 mm can be expected at some places. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers,” the advisory said.
