US Navy and SLN officials conduct 2nd edition of Staff Talks in Colombo

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The second edition of Staff Talks between the high-ranking officers of the United States (US) 7th Fleet and Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) was held at the Naval Headquarters on Tuesday (16) and Wednesday (17).

The SLN delegation was led by Director General Operations of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Piyal De Silva and their US counterparts were headed by Captain Brian Anderson of the 7th Fleet, at the second edition of these discussions.

The discussions highlighted the importance of similar dialogue in view of furthering the mutual cooperation between the two navies. Speaking on the occasion, Captain Brian Anderson expressed his contentment over range of matters including bilateral cooperation, training and ports of call made over the past years.
