Air India Colombo-Varanasi flights to commence – Modi

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today pledged that India’s national carrier Air India will commence flight operations between Colombo and Varanasi.

Delivering the keynote address Prime Minister Modi said the flights will help Lankan devotees who wish to travel to Indian on pilgrimage.

Prime Minister Modi commenting on Indo – Lanka ties said the two countries can enhance relations through continued support and understanding.

The Premier added ties can be strengthened further in the fields of trade, economy and infrastructure and various other fields.
