(UTV | COLOMBO) – WhatsApp has broken, with users unable to send or receive messages.
The app would allow people to type messages to friends and then press send. But they then became stuck, never actually delivering.
It means that users are likely sending and being sent messages without them actually being delivered – potentially leading to problems.
Outage detection website DownDetector confirms that WhatsApp is not working for thousands of users.
In a statement, a WhatsApp spokesperson said: “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible.”(With inputs from Independent)
