Gazette to import wheat flour to be issued today

(UTV | COLOMBO) – Gazette notice will reduced today (25).

To import of wheat flour under open accounts and steps will be taken to reduce the price of bakery products including bread with the release of the gazette notice, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Food Safety S.T. Kodikara, announced yesterday (24).

He said that Cabinet approval has been received for this and the Gazette is to be issued by the Import and Export Controller. In this regard, the president of All Ceylon Bakery Owners’ Association N.K.Jayawardena stated that if the price of a kilo of flour is reduced to Rs. 250 or less, the price of bread can be reduced.
