IMF assures its commitment to work with Sri Lanka

(UTV | COLOMBO) -The International Monetary Fund has assured its commitment to work with Sri Lanka.

State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe concluded the IMF annual meeting with a bilateral discussion with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva yesterday (17).

The State Minister said the Managing Director commended Sri Lanka’s government on the difficult, yet essential, reforms that it has undertaken to restore economic stability.

She also assured the IMF’s commitment to work with Sri Lanka to place the country on a stable and sustained growth path as early as possible.
