(UTV | COLOMBO) – Train schedule along the coastal belt will be amended from the 20th of October.
Sri Lanka Railways said accordingly most trains plying along the coastal line will run 10 minutes earlier than the current schedule.
It said the measure has been taken in order to facilitate the repairs of rail tracks that are in a dilapidated state between the Colombo Fort and Panadura stations.
Minister of Transport Bandula Gunawardena has meanwhile directed officials to complete the repairs expeditiously.
