Parliament debate on 22A postponed to Oct 18

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The discussion of the draught bill for the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution has been postponed to the following session of Parliament by party leaders.

Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, the speaker of the house, made the announcement.

The next meeting of Parliament is scheduled on October 18.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution will be discussed today, October 6, and tomorrow, October 7, according to an earlier agreement made by the Parliamentary Business Committee.
