(UTV | COLOMBO) – Lukas Gage (“The White Lotus,” “Euphoria”) has joined the cast of HBO Max’s eight-episode series adaptation of the DC Comics title “Dead Boy Detectives”.
The story follows Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson), who investigate supernatural phenomena.
Gage will play the recurring role of the charming trickster known as the Cat King. He takes over the role from former “Supernatural” alum Alexander Calvert.
Steve Yockey wrote the pilot and also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner along with Beth Schwartz. Jeremy Carver, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and Lee Toland Krieger executive produce.
This will mark the second recent adaptation of the property following the characters appearing on an episode of “Doom Patrol” last season with Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant playing Rowland and Payne respectively, while Madalyn Horcher played Crystal.
