(UTV | COLOMBO) – James Cameron’s 2009 box-office juggernaut “Avatar” gets is remastered re-release in cinemas this weekend around the world.
Some overseas markets have already begun showing the film and confirm that audiences are getting to see sneak footage from the upcoming sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water” tagged onto the end.
In addition, the tweets suggest the footage is different depending upon the market they’re being shown in, though reaction on Twitter and other social media platforms has been glowing.
The 4K HDR re-release is set to play across 8,000 screens outside North America this weekend, half of which are in 3D. Meanwhile “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins its global rollout on December 14th.
