Authorities deny claims of importing poisoned rice

(UTV | COLOMBO) – The Office of the Registrar of Pesticides has refuted claims that poisoned rice has been imported to Sri Lanka.

Acting Registrar of Pesticides Lasantha Ratnaweera has stressed that articles published in two newspapers that claimed that poisoned rice had been imported, is completely false and baseless.
