(UTV | COLOMBO) – President Ranil Wickremesinghe says Sri Lanka should be made the centre of maritime trade in the Indian Ocean region by establishing security and ensuring freedom of navigation in the region.
President Wickremesinghe stressed the importance of ensuring safety and formulating plans to create a powerful Asia by opening the Indian Ocean region to the world.
The Head of State made these observations while addressing the first graduation ceremony held at the National Defence College in Colombo 03.
