Sri Lanka to be taken up at UNHRC’s 51st session

(UTV |  GENEVA) – The 51st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) starts today September 12, will be held until October 7.

Furthermore, a detailed report on human rights in Sri Lanka is set to be presented today in the session held in Geneva, Switzerland.

A progress review on Resolution 46/1 will be conducted in addition to the comprehensive report on the local human rights situation.

Sri Lanka is represented at the UNHRC by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Sabry PC and Minister of Justice, Wijayadasa Rajapaksa. Opposit
